On going submission

Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) is among the top 10 diseases causing the most deaths worldwide. According to WHO in 2018, approximately 1.5 million people died from TB. Data from the Sistem Informasi Tuberkulosis Terpadu (SITT) as of March 20, 2020, indicates that Indonesia had 845,000 TB cases, with 543,874 cases reported, 87% of which were successfully managed, and 11,993 deaths due to TB.

In 2019, the COVID-19 pandemic emerged, impacting TB prevalence. The global prevalence of TB during the pandemic was affected by various factors, including TB diagnosis, case notification, treatment success, availability of services, and the logistics supply supporting these activities.

A cross-sectional study involved 101 TB patients at RSUP Persahabatan who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The research was conducted at RSUP Persahabatan from April 2020 to March 2021. The study was divided into two arms: a retrospective arm, which involved data collection from medical records (TB 01 Card), and a prospective arm, which included participant recruitment and medical record review from TB 01 Card.
